Initial inspection
showed the dishwasher was working fine. I checked the plumbing underneath the sink which was fine.

I hooked the dishwasher up in the middle of the kitchen, ran it through a full cycle, no
leaks. Everything is soaked, it's hard to tell where the water coming from.

The only place left for the water to come from was out of the wall. This is a picture of the
other side of the wall, showing two exterior hose spigots.

I focused on the lower spigot as it looked newer. I removed exterior trim and drilled two inspection
holes that I could hide later with trim strip. I inserted a special camera through the holes and found the leak.

I had all the tools to remove siding without damage. The lower spigot had been tightened
too tight and broke the old copper fittings inside the wall.

The copper fittings were replaced with new parts I had in stock and pressure tested. Insulation was
put back and vapor barrier installed.

Siding caulked and fastened in place. Trim put back and screw holes filled with putty ready
for paint.

By being well-equipped with tools and parts, I was able to fix the problem on the first service
call. I was able to save the siding and trim and not buy new, saving time and money. The customer also saved time
and money by having one person do the whole job and not having to hire and coordinate a plumber and contractor. I left
the house mopped up/cleaned up, ready for weekend rental that didn't have to be cancelled.
